When a company builds worlds for a living, its website cannot feel like a standard corporate brochure. It has to create atmosphere, signal ambition, and give visitors a reason to keep exploring before they have read a single project synopsis.

That was the brief for Victorious Pictures. The international entertainment company is developing 11 original properties across film, television, unscripted entertainment, publishing, and video games. Every title has its own voice, audience, and visual language. Together, they also need to express the point of view of one distinctive company.

We partnered closely with actor, writer, producer, and Victorious Pictures Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer Clive Standen to turn that ambitious slate into a cinematic, scalable digital experience.

Project at a glance

Challenge: Unite 11 distinct entertainment properties without flattening their individuality.
Approach: Strategy, information architecture, creative direction, content, user experience, and development.
Platform: Custom WordPress + Divi.

The Real Challenge: Coherence Without Sameness

A portfolio this varied creates an unusual design problem. Visitors, including producers, partners, press, and rights holders, need to understand the company quickly, find the opportunity relevant to them, and still feel the personality of each property.

The answer was not to make every project look alike. It was to create a strong visual and structural grammar around them. Navigation, typographic hierarchy, page architecture, and interactions provide continuity. Within that framework, each title can introduce its own artwork, tone, pacing, and personality.

This is a design system in the most useful sense: a set of rules that allows individual stories to flourish without losing their family resemblance. It also makes future growth practical. A new property can join the slate without forcing the company to rethink the website from the ground up.

Making the Slate the Experience

Rather than treating the projects as a collection of secondary pages, we made the slate central to the experience. The homepage works like a trailer, establishing the company’s tone and range. From there, visitors can move deeper into titles including Claws, Alpha Company, Cowboy Viking, Desert Hunter, 1001 Arabian Nights, and Axe Masters.

At a glance, the structure communicates breadth. On individual project pages, a consistent framework reduces cognitive load while the imagery and content do the expressive work.

That balance matters. A rigid template can flatten a slate until every story feels interchangeable. A series of unrelated one-off pages can make the company feel fragmented. Victorious Pictures needed neither. It needed a disciplined framework with enough freedom for 11 distinct worlds.

Cinematic, Not Theatrical

Cinema-inspired website design can go wrong quickly. Too much motion, too many effects, or overly stylized typography can turn atmosphere into friction. Our goal was not to decorate the site with cinematic references, but to use cinematic principles to shape the experience.

A deep-black foundation creates focus. Oxblood adds intensity, restrained gold brings warmth and prestige, and ivory protects readability. Editorial typography gives the stories room to breathe, while condensed display type introduces pace and presence. Large imagery, vertical navigation, and carefully controlled transitions add the energy of an opening title sequence without asking visitors to work for the information.

Every choice has a job. The palette gives the world weight. Typography controls rhythm. Motion guides attention. The result feels cinematic because the experience is edited, not because effects were piled onto it.

Beneath that bespoke surface is a custom WordPress and Divi foundation. Reusable project structures support future titles, and a manageable publishing system lets the company update content without compromising the front-end experience. Clear pathways also support production inquiries, partnerships, press, rights conversations, and creative development opportunities without reducing the site to a conventional sales funnel.

A Genuinely Collaborative Build

The specificity of the finished work came from collaboration. We worked primarily and closely with Clive, who brought a deep understanding of the company, its stories, and where it is headed. 11:11 Designs translated that vision across strategy, information architecture, creative direction, content, user experience, and development.

Throughout the project, we tested decisions against one question: Does this make Victorious Pictures feel more distinctive, more coherent, and more prepared for its future? That shared standard kept aesthetic choices connected to a larger purpose.

“Working with Bryan and 11:11 Designs was a genuinely collaborative and rewarding experience. Bryan understood the ambition behind Victorious Pictures and translated it into a website that feels cinematic, distinctive, and true to who we are. He brought both creative vision and careful attention to detail to the process, giving our company and slate a digital home we’re proud of.”

Built for the Next Act

This project reinforced something we believe deeply at 11:11 Designs: a strong website is not a collection of pages. It is a system for making meaning. The brand establishes the frame, the content creates movement, and the technology ensures the experience can evolve.

Victorious Pictures now has a digital home that brings clarity to a complex slate, gives individual properties room to be themselves, and opens purposeful paths for the people who can help bring those stories forward.

This is the work we love: finding the structure inside an ambitious vision, then combining strategy, narrative, design, and technology to make that vision visible.
